Day 1 ♦ Alvord Valley Part I Departing from Oxford Suites hotel in Boise, Idaho at 10:00 AM local time, you'll travel through the scenic southeastern Oregon countryside to Alvord Valley - home to one of the largest dry lakes in North America. After being outfitted on your land yacht, you'll learn how to read the wind, use the points of sail, and master the Figure 8 Course.
Enjoy casual land sailing in any direction you want across this huge, beautiful playa.. For you experienced sailors, catch as much Big Air as you can safely handle, and later - everyone has the option to participate in a timed loop course. Lunch will be served, and snacks & cold beverages are always available.

Day 2 ♦ Catlow Valley Challenge After a home cooked breakfast at the inn, get set for today's exciting land sailing challenge featuring a natural obstacle course. Master jibing, tacking, reaching, overtaking, and more.
The Catlow Valley playa has been blessed with a section of sage and creosote bushes spaced just enough apart to sail through - it is so much fun navigating around them! Just when it looks like you've sailed into a dead-end route, the lake bed presents an opening just in time! It also features plenty of open space for fast straightaways. Lunch, snacks, and cold beverages will be provided. Meals included: B, L, D
Day 3 ♦ Alvord Valley Part II Today's land sailing goal is to successfully circumnavigate the playa using GPS waypoints - in the shortest time. Separate timings for intermediates, who were only beginners on Day 1, and separate timings for experienced sailors. Complete the course in the shortest time and receive a Blue Ribbon & certificate with photo for bragging rights back home.
Another challenge will be formation land sailing. This means all sailors must maintain the same speed - sailing neither too fast nor too slow - it sounds easy but as you'll see, it takes a lot of finesse! Meals included: B, L
